The Importance of Preventive Dental Care

The Importance of Preventive Dental Care

Regular dental check-ups, cleans and preventive care is vital for early identification of tooth decay, dental infections, and periodontal disease. If caught early, treatment is simpler, cheaper, and less likely to result in a dental emergency.

Without regular attendance, you could end up in pain, and the dental work required is likely to be more complex and costly.

In 2019-20, 67,000 preventable hospitalisations occurred due to dental emergencies (AIHW, 2022). These all could have been avoided with regular dental care and early intervention.

In the absence of medicare rebate towards dental services, cost is a significant prohibitor to accessing dental care. In particular, 45% of Australians 35 years old and younger don’t have private health insurance contributing towards their dental visits (AIHW, 2022).

This is where we can help. For new patients aged 18-35, we are offering a $199 special including a full check-up, clean, any required x-rays and fluoride treatment. During this appointment, one of our experienced dentists will provide you with a tailored treatment plan and detailed quote for any further treatment required.
